Project description

This parcel of land with a virtually unblocked view of the lake, a valuable stock of trees, and a slope inclined to the south represents the basis for this expressive design of a single-family residential dwelling.
Slim steel supports matching the story-high glass façade in the ground level afford a view of the lake from the day rooms and provide ample natural daylight. The open exposed concrete staircase leads to the upper story with a large, central atrium. The glass façade with encompasses the ground floor makes it seem as if the upper story is floating. Due to the use of special thermal separating components like those found in steel construction, the exterior exposed concrete surfaces seem to naturally flow into the design, forming a stable and rugged façade. The accessible roof becomes the 5th facade and blends harmoniously with the surrounding tree population.
