Are you interested in applying for a particular position, or in submitting an initiative application? Here you can find out everything you need to do that and what to expect after you have sent your application!

1) Selecting a suitable job offering
You can apply for a currently open job position or submit an unsolicited application or application for an internship under "APPLYING FOR A POSITION".

2) Sending your application documents
Using our online application form, you can submit your complete curriculum vitae and a short cover letter. Ideally, you should upload your documents as a PDF.
Helpful hint: Compose your cover letter in advance, and then simply cut-and-paste it into the "Comment" field. If you'd like to send us a longer motivation letter, you are welcome to upload it as a PDF.

3) Confirmation
As soon as we have received your application, you'll receive an automatic e-mail reply.

4) Checking your documents: Does your profile match an open position?
We will take the time to examine your application individually and with great care. The amount of time we need to do this is very dependent upon the number of applications we receive and upon arrangements made between our Human Resources Dept. and the individual technical departments. We will make every effort to give you an answer as quickly as possible.

5) Invitation to a personal interview
Your profile might interest us. Then we'll invite you to a personal interview.
What professional know-how do you possess and what are your interests? Why do you wish to work at Bergmeister? What is important to you? What questions do you have?
If this first interview is successful for both sides, we will invite you to a second interview in order to clarify any further questions and perhaps also to discuss terms of employment.

6) You are a convincing candidate!
We'll make you an attractive offer. And now all you have to do is say "Yes!"

7) Welcome in our team!
Accompanied by your personal tutor, you can begin the on-boarding process at Bergmeister!


What should I bring with me to the job interview?
If you have already sent us a complete curriculum vitae online, then there's nothing else you have to bring with you.

Are "unsolicited" or "speculative" job applications all right?
Certainly! It's best to first examine our current job offerings for a position matching your qualifications. In the event that none of the currently-available jobs match your profile, simply send us your initiative application. It may be that your application will get us thinking. For various reasons, we may have not yet posted a concrete job offer. The important thing is that you list your fields of interest!

Is there a deadline for the acceptance of applications?
No. Our job offerings will remain online and the search will continue until we have found a suitable person and filled the position.

In what period of time should I submit my application for an internship?
If you're looking for a summer internship, you should have submitted your application by late-January. In the case of internships during the year, you are welcome to apply at any time.

How can I prepare myself for the job interview?
Inform yourself about our company before you come to the interview. Consider what special qualities or talents you can bring to the table and what you find especially interesting. That will make it easier for you to pose questions during the interview that will aid in your decision-making process.

Can I apply for a trainee position / apprenticeship or as a student trainee?
Certainly! Just send us your unsolicited application and state whether you are looking for a traineeship / apprenticeship / student traineeship.
