Project description

This construction project concerns a low-maintenance steel structure in the form of two continuous beams. The cross-section is a multi-staged tee beam. The bridge has a total length of 82.56 meters and 2 fields with lc = 41.28 m. The structure was erected in S355W (Corten steel), has a long product-life, and requires very little maintenance. No carriageway transitions were carried out. Rather, the structure was elongated over the abutment walls; behind that, an infilled monolithic drainage channel made of stainless steel was installed. Because of the high longitudinal inclination, it was possible to forego condensation drains. The abutments and the piers are founded on micro-piles. The fundament slab was erected on that. The anchoring of the micro-piles was accomplished using a welded-on circular ring slab and four longitudinal ribs. The rising wall was constructed of steel-reinforced concrete.
