Fire station and rehearsal rooms, Schabs / Sciaves
Project description
This project concerning the new fire station and music rehearsal rooms was developed in several phases. Ultimately, it was realized in the form of a single-story building. The façade is dominated by an oblong exposed concrete wall which has been structured by various means. An atrium represents the intersection between the fire station and the music rehearsal rooms. The main entryway to the rehearsal rooms as well as lighting areas for the rooms to the back are located in this atrium. The entire building is spanned by a flat roof. This vehicle-safe roof is on the same level as the existent meadow. In order to obtain room for the radio antennae, sirens, and other technical installations, a stylized hose tower made of metal was erected in the atrium. The technical installations have a clean, plain appearance and reflect the building's overall functional design.
