Headquarter Dynafit , Kiefersfelden
Project description
The construction of the new Dynafit headquarters at the foot of the Alps has created a modern, functional, and architecturally sophisticated corporate headquarters that reflects the values of mountain sports in its design. The new building combines office and retail space with development and testing areas, as well as a spacious bistro, under a clearly structured building that blends harmoniously into the alpine environment. The structural design faced the challenge of combining an open, flexible space concept with the high technical requirements of a modern innovation location. Large-scale glazing with views of the surrounding mountain landscape characterizes the appearance—at the same time, the wide-span facade areas had to be efficiently reinforced and the load-bearing structures economically dimensioned. Optimized reinforced concrete flat slabs were used to achieve the wide spans, which, in combination with slender columns and the formation of transfer slabs, allow a high degree of spatial freedom. The building is braced by solid reinforced concrete exterior walls and elevator cores, which act as rigid diaphragms and safely transfer the horizontal loads from the wind and the facade to the foundation. The construction is also deliberately left visible in the interior: exposed concrete surfaces on walls and ceilings, as well as cleanly formed junctions, create a technical, sporty, and precise ambience that matches the brand's design philosophy. Due to the visual requirements, special attention was paid to the integration of the technical infrastructure into the ceiling system. Built-in components for lamps and loudspeakers, including cable routing for electrical engineering and thermally activated concrete, were included in the structural design and taken into account in the ceiling system. Structural fire protection was implemented on all floors using fire-resistant concrete cross-sections. The supporting structure remains largely visible without cladding and still meets the required safety standards.
