Project description
The concept partitions the agencies into three buildings: The existent older building for the Education and Youth Agency, and two new buildings for the Social and Family Agency and the Office for Public Order. The new construction is divided into two square building segments of almost equal size reflecting the later intended use for the two agencies and is supplemented by a strip-shaped tract serving to connect it to the existent building. The roofing structure consists of load-bearing plywood boards which are connected so as to resist shearing with the plywood boards lying on top of them. The load-bearing plywood boards are borne upon a surrounding ring anchor on the walls and support themselves on a steel framework in the area of the light band above.
