New construction of lakeside resort, Lake Kaltern / Caldaro

The area is located along the west shore of Lake Kaltern, which has been declared a natural preservation area. This lakeside resort offers space for cultural and social events. The sundeck and aquarium level serve as a swimming area and public space. The aquarium serves as a roofed open area lit by daylight from all sides. Atmospheric light enters the aquarium through glazed openings in the bottom of the multi-purpose tank and glass concrete fields in the sun deck. During rain showers in the summer months, visitors can seek temporary shelter her. On hot days, it affords shade and a place to play. When events are held, the sundeck is transformed into bleachers for spectators. The architectural and structural-constructive design is based on a complex steel-reinforced concrete construction consisting of spatialized components. The sundeck's jointless structure is supported by rugged individual core supports with a deep foundation of piles.
