Project description

The planned A26 Linzer autobahn extends from the A7 – node of Linz /Hummelhof to the Danube break-through where (on both sides of the Danube, via interchanges) it connects to the B 129 Eferdinger Strasse and the B127 Rohrbacher Strasse. The entire segment of the A26 has a length of 4.7 km. Due to its location in the city, it is dominated by an arrangement of engineered structures. All in all, two bridge structures, underground tunnels, and a cut-and-cover tunnel are to be built. Phase 1 comprises the construction of the Danube River bridge, including the connection to the B127 Rohrbacher Strasse (North Danube branch) and the B129 Eferdinger Strasse (South Danube branch). In the first phase, the South Danube branch will not be completely expanded.
