District Heating Plant, Pinzagen / Pinzago, Brixen / Bressanone
Project description
Feasibility study for the construction of a biomass thermal energy plant in Pinzagen with the compilation of detailed data on households in the villages of Pinzagen, Tschötsch, and Pairdorf. Overall planning of the district heating network (6 km) and of the biomass thermal power plant as well as mounting and initial operation of the heat transfer station for delivery of thermal energy to the final customers. The building was designed as a compact stepped structure with simple, clear lines. The heating boiler and most of the technical equipment as well as office rooms are located in the front, lower part of the building. The wood chip storage unit and the buffer storage unit are located in the back, higher part of the building. The building is a steel-reinforced concrete structure with façade components made of metal grids.
Energy is generated in a biomass boiler with a rated capacity of 805 kW and a heating oil-fueled boiler to cover demand peaks (2,500 kW).
