St. Peter District Heating Plant, Lajen / Laion

To determine heat requirements, a feasibility study was prepared on the basis of which the overall planning for a biomass thermal power plant, the district heating network, and the mounting and transfer station was carried out. The district heating network (with a total length of about 1 km) features double plastic-sheathed pipes. The energy is generated by a biomass boiler (with a rated capacity of 550 kW) for the base load and an oil-fueled boiler (1,000 kW) to demand peaks.
